People Behind Project Financing Success

We're a tight-knit group of finance professionals who actually enjoy digging into complex funding structures. Our backgrounds range from corporate banking to venture capital, and we've learned most of what we know by working through real deals—not just reading about them.

Meet the Funding Strategists

Each person here brings something different to the table. We've assembled this team intentionally—looking for people who can spot opportunities others miss and who aren't afraid to challenge conventional thinking about project capital.

Larsen Thorvald

Senior Capital Advisor

Larsen spent twelve years structuring deals for infrastructure projects across Northern Europe before joining us. He has this uncanny ability to find funding pathways that work when traditional banks say no. His specialty is renewable energy projects, where he's helped secure over $400 million in combined financing.

Niamh Gallagher

Risk Assessment Lead

Niamh came from commercial lending, where she reviewed hundreds of loan applications. She knows what makes lenders nervous and how to present projects in ways that address those concerns upfront. She's particularly good at working with first-time developers who need guidance on strengthening their financial positioning.

Dimitri Volkov

Alternative Finance Specialist

Dimitri's background in private equity gives him perspective on non-traditional funding sources. He's connected with venture debt providers, mezzanine lenders, and family offices that most people don't know exist. When conventional financing falls short, Dimitri usually has three other options ready to explore.

Siobhan MacLeod

Documentation Coordinator

Siobhan handles the mountain of paperwork that comes with any financing arrangement. She's meticulous about terms, conditions, and compliance requirements. Her attention to detail has saved clients from problematic clauses more times than we can count. She also translates complex financial jargon into language normal humans can understand.

Tomas Andersson

Market Research Analyst

Tomas tracks lending trends, interest rate movements, and regulatory changes that affect project financing availability. He provides the intelligence our team uses to time funding requests strategically. His quarterly market reports have become something our clients actually look forward to reading, which says something about his writing style.

Katya Novak

Client Relations Manager

Katya keeps everyone organized and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks during the funding process. She's the person who follows up on outstanding items, coordinates between multiple parties, and somehow keeps track of dozens of moving pieces simultaneously. Clients tell us she's the reason they stayed sane during their financing journey.

What We Actually Do Well

We're not generalists trying to be everything to everyone. We focus on specific areas where we've built genuine expertise over years of concentrated work. Here's where our experience runs deep.

Our Core Competencies

We started focusing on commercial real estate and infrastructure projects about eight years ago. Since then, we've helped clients secure funding for everything from mixed-use developments to municipal water systems.

The projects we work on typically need $2 million to $50 million in capital. That range sits in an interesting space—too large for most local banks to handle alone, but often too small for major investment banks to prioritize. We've learned how to navigate this middle ground effectively.

  • Complex capital stacks combining multiple funding sources
  • Bridge financing for projects waiting on permanent funding
  • Refinancing existing debt to improve cash flow positioning
  • Construction-to-permanent loan structures
  • Government grant applications and subsidy coordination

How We Work With Clients

Initial Assessment Phase

We start by understanding your project economics and timeline constraints. Most of our initial conversations happen over video calls where we dig into pro formas, construction schedules, and market assumptions. We're pretty direct about whether we think your project is financeable in its current form.

Documentation and Positioning

Once we agree to move forward, we spend time strengthening your financial presentation. This usually means reworking cash flow projections, assembling supporting market data, and preparing materials that address lender concerns proactively. We've learned what questions will come up, so we answer them before they're asked.

Lender Outreach and Negotiation

We approach multiple funding sources simultaneously. Our existing relationships help, but we also do significant research to identify lenders whose appetite aligns with your project profile. The negotiation phase is where experience matters most—knowing which terms are standard and which ones you should push back on.

Closing Coordination

The final stages involve coordinating between lawyers, appraisers, environmental consultants, and various other parties. We've closed enough deals to know what typically goes wrong during this phase, so we try to anticipate problems before they delay funding.

Let's Talk About Your Project

We're happy to spend thirty minutes on a call discussing your financing needs—no charge, no obligation. Sometimes a quick conversation reveals options you hadn't considered, or confirms that your current approach makes sense. Either way, it's time well spent.
